Forging Forward...

Fourteenth Row Begun!

This would not fit on any of my counter space, so I had to dampen it
and let it dry on the floor, so that I could see if it was still lying flat.
Thankfully, it was!

LATER:
I forgot to add that I had to cut out a lot of the 13th row, as I had added beads and then realized that they did not look well in the overall pattern - disturbed the visual... SNIP  SNIP SNIP!

I am now inching into the 20’s on the yard stick...

Gian doesn't care one way or the other. Natch.

    1. Ladytats,
There are four more rows, and the last one has a lot of rings and chains! I am very pleased though, with how much I do like this piece. Worth the slog... But, I will not tat such a big one again!

  4. Wow, that must have been frustrating to have to cut out almost a whole row! It looks great right now, though.

  5. Hey Gian, how come your feather thing still has feathers on it? Did she just replace it for you?

    1. Hi Squijum,

Nah, the feathers are still really new. They came on the brand new stand...

Actually, I think SHE is worried that I might not have a good enough view in the new place we are moving to, so she felt guilty and got me this thing to get used to before we go in February. Lucky for me SHE has good taste in cat climbing furniture and feels bad if I look sad..heheheh..... I really like my new perch and spend lots of time up there looking out the window and I especially like being taller than HER. I think I will like the new digs now.
      Your buddy,
      Gian

Gian I can still see you on your scratching pole, I love your feather toy. Hope you had lots of presents for Christmas
    Have a nice day

    1. Thanks, Kathy! I am a bit astounded at the size as well. It is so substantial in weight, too, for this Finca thread is like crochet cotton when tatted and adds such heft to the piece.

It reminds me of a Spanish Mantilla...

  10. Wow, such perseverance, but worth all the time put into it.
I don't know about you, but for large projects I usually speed into the last few rows just to get it over and done with.
